About Santa Bob and Mrs. Dee Claus
When they aren’t busy at the North Pole, Santa Bob and his wife, Mrs. Claus often stay at their southern workshop in Olympia, Wash.

Santa Bob, who’s nearly 2,000 years old now, has bags full of experience caring for and about children. He still enjoys appearing year-round at big events such as the Seattle Mariners’ Christmas in July and the Washington’s Foster Care Conference. He also loves quiet visits with children who are unable to be part of big celebrations.

Known for his quick sense of humor, Santa is a former radio announcer and reporter, which means he is quite the public speaker! He is adept at dealing with unexpected situations and especially loves to answer questions. He and Mrs. Claus are former foster parents with a special place in their hearts for children dealing with stressful situations or who have developmental challenges.

The Clauses keeps the spirit of Christmas in their hearts all year. Besides baking cookies, Mrs. Claus gets toys and books from the elves for children in need. And they have taken on such projects as supplying toys for kids who lost theirs in a Whatcom County flood and for spearheading a NORPAC Santas fund drive to replace children’s toys lost in hurricanes.

Both Clauses earned their Bachelor of Santa Claus degrees from the University of Santa Claus. Santa Bob serves on the board of NORPAC Santas, a regional organization for Santas, Mrs. Clauses and elves. They also are members of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas – IBRBS (even though Mrs. Claus doesn’t have a beard.).
